Dental Aesthetic Design
The golden ratio or golden rule of proportions has been involved in design aesthetics for thousands of years. In fact prior to the European Renaissance, before the Greek’s fore busts of the human face, the golden ratio existed, everywhere. This golden rule of proportions is not only found in mathematics, but art and science as well. In nature, the human body including the face adhere to the golden ration. In nature you can visualize a golden proportion by examining a nautilus shell. In architecture you can look at the example of the great Parthenon in Greece.
In mathematics and art, two quantities are in the golden ratio if the ratio of the sum of the quantities to the larger quantity is equal to the ration of the larger quantity to the smaller one. –Wikipedia
